Fitty Pudding

Cereal thought the lyric "Oh bring us some figgy pudding" was "Oh bring us some fitty (fifty) pudding." I think her version should be a rap.

Locker confusion

Tonight out of nowhere Cereal turns and says to me "Sometimes I forget where my locker is."

Electric Blankets

Cereal's facebook status the other day....

"Oh I love electric blankies!!! It's like a mircowave for my bed!"

That sounds like a last name...

Me: Do you know who sings all of these songs in Gnomeo and Juliet?
Cereal: pauses and answers hesitantly. John Elton?

I think Cereal needs her ears checked...

Me: Coughing my brains out and in need of cough syrup. I need drugs!
Cereal: You need frogs?

TMI

Cereal pronounces TMI (too much information) as a word not an acronym. She says tim-eye.

Car Wash

Cereal went through the car wash for the first time a few weeks ago. She thought it was pretty much the coolest thing in the world. She said "It was like a roller coaster ride. Lets go again!"

Beatles and Zombie Fingers

One day Cereal and I were playing Beatles Rockband. On one of the long songs Ringo says "I've got blisters on my fingers!" We had been playing for a long time and my fingers were getting sore so I repeated his phrase in my best British accent. Cereal heard "God bless the zombie fingers!"

Unicorn Run

Cereal "unicorn ran" to the bathroom tonight, which pretty much means she galloped down the hallway. I asked her how that was different than a horse and she replied "I don't know, but unicorns are cooler."

Iced Coffee

Cereal made herself an iced coffee that was a tad bit strong. She tried to sit really still so as to ward of the effects of caffeine...it didn't work.

Early Childhood Dream Jobs

When she was younger Cereal had some interesting things she thought she was going to be when she was all grown up. In 4th grade she wanted to be a mattress tester with the night shift. When she was 5 or 6 she wanted to be a singing, dancing, school janitor. Silly girly!

Cereal's definition of topical...

My mom was talking on the phone and used the word topical, referring in this case to something focused around a particular topic. Cereal says "Topical isn't that something you put on your mouth?[referring to oral topical gel]"

Polar Bear Swim

Last February I participated in a Polar Bear swim, which is where you swim in cold water... Cereal got really excited and said "No way, you get swim with Polar Bears!"

Giraffe Rootbeer

While at out to dinner a friend was talking about Draft Root Beer. Cereal misheard and so when it came time to order she says "I would like some giraffe root beer."

Grape tatt

Cereal wants to get a grape tattoo so when she is old and wrinkly it will turn into a raisin.
